CAPS2015 // July 7-8, Brussels
Harnessing the power of Networked Social Responsibility
From July 7th to July 8th, Brussels will be hosting CAPS2015, the international annual event on Collective Awareness Platforms for Sustainability and Social Innovation. The event will start with a Conference in the morning of July 7 at the European Commission (Centre Albert Borschette), and continue in the afternoon with the CAPS2015 OFF Programme until the whole day of July 8 at La Tricoterie, Brussels.
The Conference Programme will enhance dialogue between the European Commission and bottom-up organisations and practitioners. Leveraging on the success of CAPS2014 OFF, CAPS2015 OFF Programme will offer an extended 2-day dynamic schedule of talks, unconferences, workshops, hands-on sessions, and networking moments. Its programme is partly crowd-sourced from the community through an Open Call open until April 30 and reflecting the participatory and inclusive ambition of the event.
This year’s theme is Networked Social Responsibility and to confirm our commitment to this topic underlying all CAPS projects we choose a disruptive venue. Brussels is the Capital of European institutions but also an extremely active and engaged metropolis: in this context La Tricoterie wants to be a "Link Factory", a meeting place where various disciplines and audiences can meet, in a spirit of exchange and emulation. This will be an outstanding venue to exchange on topics like collective intelligence, participatory design and social innovation. D-CENT, Wikirate, Impact for You, P2PValue, SciCafe 2.0 and CATALYST already signed up to organise workshops and roundtables, and we are in touch with stunning innovators and practitioners. The first release of the programme will take place in March: want to be part of it? You can submit your application on caps-conference.eu
Free registrations are now opened for both CAPS2015 Conference and CAPS2015 OFF Programme and available on http://caps-conference.eu/register
The event is free because we want to go beyond the usual suspects and allow everybody to attend. If you want to help us reaching the Moon contact us for the sponsorship opportunities.
