The EU financed project RTDPI is very pleased to invite you to the Horizon 2020 Information seminar and Workshop on 06 and 07 May 2014 at the University of Sarajevo, organised with the Ministry of Civil Affairs Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Description

The European Union has started the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation for the period 2014 till 2020, called Horizon 2020. With about 80 billion euro the research and innovation in EU member states and candidate states, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, will be supported. This is the European Commission’s contribution in addition to the private and national spending for research and innovation.

The European Commission underlines the importance of research and innovation in the Horizon 2020 programmes.

The Horizon 2020 programme target is to remain Europe lading in strategic science, to master societal challenges (e.g. environment, health) and to sustain industrial leadership (e.g. eco-mobility infrastructure, factory of the future). The involvement of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) is given a key attention to carry out innovation and through this creating and sustain employment.

It is important for participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina to join Horizon 2020 at an early stage. This is improving the chance tremendously to be included in projects running for the whole period till 2020.

During the Information seminar and Workshop the project held’s in Sarajevo, the research and academic community and the innovative private sector will be informed in detail about the societal challenges programme and Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions and other components.

The Workshop is also an excellent opportunity to be assisted by experts, working in EU research and innovation projects, in project application, international cooperation and partnering with European research and innovation institutes and enterprises.

For participants at these events, who are coming from outside Sarajevo, the EU funded project RTDPI is willing to cover the costs for travel and accommodation.
