Bologna Process: Towards the European Higher Education Area: responding to challenges in a globalised world

This is a report made by the ministers of the countries participating the Bologna process that are responsible for Higher Education and have met in London. It makes a review on progress made since the last meeting in Bergen 2005. At first Montenegro is welcomed as a new member of Bologna Process. It is stated that developments over the last two years have brought a significant step closer to the realisation of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). It is also stated that some initial progress has been made towards the implementation of national qualifications frameworks, but that much more effort is required. Last but not the least priorities for 2009 are described (mobility, social dimension, data collection, employability, the European Higher Education Area in a global context, Stocktaking). Next meeting will be hosted by the Benelux Countries in 2009.
