EU R&I Days 2021: Conference report

European Research and Innovation Days took place online on 23 and 24 June and attracted over 21,000 participants from over a 100 different countries. The European Commission’s annual flagship Research and Innovation event brought together policymakers, researchers, entrepreneurs and the public to debate and shape the future of research and innovation in Europe and beyond.
2021 marked the start of Horizon Europe, the most ambitious EU research and innovation programme ever. Researchers, innovators, policy makers and citizens heard first-hand about the programme’s new features and received insights on its structure from Commission staff at the event Village.
