Balkan Barometer 2020

Balkan Barometer is an annual survey of public opinion and business sentiments in six Western Balkans economies, commissioned by the Regional Cooperation Council.  It is examining aspirations and expectations on life and work, prevalent socio-economic and political trends & regional and European integration.

 

The 2020, or sixth edition of the Balkan Barometer represents the next chapter in the steady evolution of the region’s foremost survey of public and business opinion. Launched as an attempt to measure impact of regional actions implemented under the SEE Strategy 2020 process, the Barometer is now firmly established as a reliable source of regional data widely employed and referenced by media, business, civil society and decision makers alike. 

The 2020 Balkan Barometer surveys were conducted between November 2019 and January 2020 in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, The Republic of North Macedonia and Serbia. The Public Barometer survey posed 116 questions to 6,020 citizens and the Business Opinion survey presented 95 questions to 1,215 business owners, managers or executives. Answers by survey respondents have been systemized, analysed and presented in the two reports – Public Opinion Survey and Business Opinion Survey.
