The European Investment Bank in the Western Balkans
In the late 1990s, EIB financing in the Western Balkans focused on urgent reconstruction and repairs to damaged bridges and railways, ports, airports and roads.Year after year, EIB has expanded this work, adding initiatives and joining with financing partners to help the region become more modern and self-sufficient. EIB wants to foster a skilled workforce while it increases support for small businesses and make sure credit is available for people who need it most.
