Pursuant to the Agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for cooperation in the field of education and science, signed on 8.03.2010, which entered into force on 1.12.2011 and was approved by VKM No. 265 dated 21.04.2010, "On the approval of the agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for cooperation in the fields of education and science," the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Republic of Kosovo and the Ministry of Education and Sports, in cooperation with the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation (AKKSHI), are opening the second round of calls for joint research, technical, and scientific applications between Albania and Kosovo. This call follows the agreement signed on April 14, 2023, between the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Republic of Kosovo and the Ministry of Education and Sports of the Republic of Albania.

The coordinators of the research groups of each country are requested to submit the necessary documentation for the application to the respective institutions. For researchers from Albania, the responsible institution will be the National Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation. For applicants from Kosovo, the responsible institution will be the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation.

All those interested must apply by filling out the requirements and application forms in the documentation attached to this call:

• 1 copy of the draft proposal in the Albanian language

• 1 copy of the CVs of all members of the research groups from both countries

• 1 cover letter from the institution's owner

• 1 CD copy where all required documentation can be uploaded

The documents should be submitted in hard copy and soft copy (CD) versions to the Archives of MAShTI, office no. 4, at the address Rr. "Agim Ramadani" p.n., 10000 Pristina, Kosovo, within the deadline provided for this call.

Project proposals will be reviewed and evaluated according to the approved evaluation systems in each country, and the winners will be announced after comparing the evaluations in both countries.

The winning project proposals will be financed for a period of 2 years, and the grant amount from each responsible institution for each year will not exceed 5000 EUR.

Please note the following:

• Please provide detailed information regarding the amount requested for financing according to the table presented in the project proposal. We also emphasize that the funds allocated for this project should be used solely for the purpose of realizing the mobility of the applicants.
• Please provide as much detail as possible regarding the objectives and activities to be implemented in the project proposal for each year.
• Those interested in participating in bilateral scientific research projects and relevant national programs for future calls should refer to our official website: www.masht.rks-gov.net. The application will include all the conditions and criteria for applying to scientific research projects and the application details.
