The WWC is a two-month program designed to support and mentor young writers from the Western Balkans. The program will provide young writers with the following benefits:

• Five virtual workshops with experienced authors and literary experts;
• Mentoring sessions to help you develop your writing skills and work on a short story about a important social or political issue in your country;
• Opportunities to connect with other young writers from the Western Balkans;
• Access to a supportive community of young writers and literary professionals;
• Promotion on WWC’s social media and publication on other platforms.

To be eligible for the program, you must meet the following criteria:

• Be between the ages of 18 and 30
• Be a citizen or resident of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, or Türkiye
• Have a very good level of English proficiency (the program will be conducted in English)
• Have a passion for writing, social issues, and storytelling

To apply, please submit the following materials:

• A brief personal statement (up to 200 words) introducing yourself and explaining why you want to participate in the WWC program
• An abstract of the short story idea you want to develop (up to 500 words) in English
• A CV detailing your educational and writing background (optional)
