Call for Applications: European Heritage Youth Ambassadors Programme 2023
The European Heritage Youth Ambassadors Programme - run by Europa Nostra, ESACH, and the European Heritage Tribune - is a growing network of young students and professionals living in Europe who share their stories, experiences and passion for heritage on online platforms. The Ambassadors act as bridges between students and young professionals and European heritage organisations for the realisation of youth-led initiatives related to heritage! Applications for the European Heritage Youth Ambassadors Programme 2023 can be submitted by 13 January 2023.

Description of the positionAs part of the European Heritage Youth Ambassadors Programme, you will have the opportunity to be a part of a growing heritage youth movement and:
- represent the voice of young people within Europa Nostra’s activities;
- engage in ESACH’s projects and activities;
- share your heritage-related experiences widely on social media;
- participate in conferences and events;
- have an active role or keen interest as a heritage professional or researcher or student in supporting her/his/their communities on social cohesion, human rights, climate change, well-being, defence of democracy, active citizenship and diplomacy;
- be a reporter for the European Heritage Tribune in your country/region, including sharing relevant news articles about cultural heritage, assisting the editor-in-chief with translating articles and creating open-format blog entries.
The programme starts in February 2023 and runs for 12 months. The position is voluntary and requires availability for at least 10 hours per month, including attending an online monthly meeting of 1 hour.
The European Heritage Youth Ambassadors Programme has already completed its first two cycles, with youth ambassadors selected from different countries across Europe! You can meet the 2021 & 2022 Ambassadors on their dedicated webpage.
Requirements
- ESACH Member and/or Europa Nostra Youth Member;
- Age between 18 and 35 years old;
- Good level of English (min. B2, written and spoken);
- Availability to commit for 12 months;
- Ongoing collaboration with the student, youth, and citizenship networks will be valued;
- A current location in a European country is preferred;
- Team spirit;
- Application consisting of:
- CV;
- Motivation letter;
- Proof of writing (e.g. article, thesis, blog entry, etc.).
