How to lead the transformation of youth work from offline to online while keeping the best of both worlds in mind? Would you like to be one of the digital transformers? We are inviting you on a 4-month journey on digital transformation in youth work.

This journey includes blended capacity building on how to  digitally transform youth work in the form of 2 (4 half-days) online trainings and 1 study visit in Armenia. The trainings will focus on digital well-being, ethics and digital rights as well as on emerging technologies, with inclusion and participation as overarching topics. This is the 2nd call for this training course (the whole programme started in October 2022). This means that new participants will have some extra onboarding activities and materials we will invite you to go through.

Aims of the training are: 

  • To increase awareness about different aspects of digital transformation in the youth field and considering inclusion, participation and diversity 
  • To increase competences of youth workers and provide them with new approaches to digital transformation in youth work
  • To utilise knowledge and experiences on digital transformation from diverse sectors and explore the potential of cross-sectoral cooperation to enrich youth work.

Am I the right person? We are looking for participants who are: 

  • youth workers, working directly with young people, especially dealing with inclusion & participation topics
  • interested in the training topics and have a strong motivation to apply digital transformation topics in their youth work activities
  • able to take part in the entire long-term process (end-January until end-April 2023)
  • able to communicate in English
  • able to have access to the internet, computer, video camera, microphone for the online sessions. Our meeting will take place mainly in Mibo. Before applying, please test if your internet connection and device works in this system (it will only take a minute): Test Mibo

We expect participants to take part in all modules of the training course and follow the online panels. Participants can watch panel discussions live or if needed after the panel takes place. 

This activity is open to participants from both programme and partner countries and able to travel to Lithuania and Armenia (VISAs, passport, etc).

What can we promise by the end of the training course? Participants will be able:

  • to design inclusive and participatory digital youth work activities, knowledge of tools to use and processes
  • to ensure digital ethics, safety and privacy of young people 
  • to utilise digital transformation opportunities in youth work (emerging technologies, maker cultures, gaming, changing trends in the world of work, etc.)
  • to use opportunities of EU youth programmes to finance digital youth work activities
  • to approach challenges and barriers like the digital divide, exclusion, ensuring sustainability, etc. 
  • To use resources and knowledge from other sectors as well as expand cooperation opportunities in their communities
  • To increase international cooperation network
