Towards needs-based support for mobile academics
ACA is looking for support to enhance assistance to mobile academics via a new study of personalised needs and experiences of international researchers and PhD students.
As pre-announced in January (ACA Newsletter – January 2021), ACA has launched an online survey probing into the needs of mobile academics in personalised assistance during their mobility stay, with special focus on Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe.
Conducted under the Erasmus+ UniWeliS project, this survey aims to collect evidence and data from international researchers, lecturers and PhD students with current or past mobility (study, visit or employment) experience in Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.
- Are you a mobile researcher or PhD student who worked or studied in one the listed countries for longer than three months in the past five years? => Please take part in our survey and share your feedback with us.
- Are you an employer of a higher education institution in one these countries offering support to mobile academics? => We will be happy to learn about your experience via an online interview.
- Are you an international higher education professional? Please help us spread the word about our new study across your institution or network by forwarding the link to our survey.
Your feedback is crucial for making future mobility experience smoother and more effective for academics at all career stages through the design of a needs-based model welcome service framework and a dedicated training programme for staff that could be used by any higher education institution in Europe.
For more information about the survey, please click here. The survey can be completed by 15 April 2021. Please contact Veronika Kupriyanova to express your interest in the interview or for any further enquiries about the survey.
