CALLS ARE NOW OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS FOR THE COMPONTENTS SMART AND ADVANCED

Millennium Foundation Kosovo* (MFK) invites all women entrepreneurs with higher investment requirements that were established at least a year ago to APPLY NOW for the Women Energy Entrepreneurs Program.

With the equipment grant program, MFK will help women entrepreneurs invest in modern equipment and enable them to grow their businesses through a more efficient use of energy. The call for applications is now open for two types of grants:

SMART: for investment grants >€10,000 and up to €135,000. This is for women-owned enterprises (at least 51% women-owned) with at least 5 employees, which have been in business for at least 2 years.

ADVANCED: for investment grants up to €10,000. This is for women-owned enterprises (at least 51% women-owned) and individual entrepreneurs, without any restriction on the number of employees, which have been in business for at least 1 year.

Grants can be used for investments in energy consuming equipment in order to finance equipment upgrades, which may include production equipment (machinery, ovens, refrigeration, etc.), HVAC equipment (heating, ventilation, etc.), auxiliary equipment (pumps, motors, compressors, etc.), building related measures (insulation, windows), renewable energy solutions (Solar PV panels, solar water heaters, solar dryers, etc.) but also equipment used in energy audits and energy assessments. To help women entrepreneurs in assessing and understanding, which solutions might be suitable to grow their businesses through the more efficient use of energy, a number or online workshops are available. WEE-SIMPLE is designed for women entrepreneurs in Kosovo* who have recently started their business or are about to register their business formally. Calls for applications for the participation in the WEE-SIMPLE training and grants programs will open soon to support these women entrepreneurs in overcoming obstacles and accelerate their business growth.

The WEE-Program is inclusive and aims to secure a fair distribution of grants across all regions of Kosovo* and across the various industry sectors. WEE is a part of the multilateral program called Women in Energy, which provides scholarships, internships and entrepreneurship trainings and grants for women.
