Short description

Do you have what it takes to spot the best of the best among thousands of innovations? Can you spot the brilliant ideas that have the capacity to disrupt the markets? We are looking for experts in innovation, finance and business who can bring their know-how to the selection process.

We finance the best innovations in Europe that can create new markets and disrupt the existing ones. In order to select the small companies behind these innovations we need the best evaluators, with experience in innovations, investment and business. Help us single out the most promising innovators by becoming an expert evaluator for the EIC Accelerator.

The selection process has two steps, and therefore we need two types of evaluators.

Step 1- Remote Evaluation:

All proposals will first be evaluated remotely by 4 independent experts that will work individually. As a remote evaluator you will be called to evaluate proposals shortly after the cut-off dates.

You will be allocated proposals in your area of expertise based on keywords you will have chosen. Evaluations will have to be completed in 7 calendar days.

Step 2 - Interview Panel:

The proposals with top-scores will be invited for Interviews by a Jury of experts in Brussels. As a member of the Jury you will work within a thematic selection panel with other members of the Jury during a full week in Brussels. You will meet the companies face-to-face and select the best ones for funding based on their proposals and their pitch (dragon's den style). There are four interview weeks per year.

We are looking for investors (venture capitalists, business angels etc.), serial entrepreneurs, innovations and tech gurus who can assess proposals and identify the most disruptive and scalable SMEs. The selected companies innovate across the board, therefore we are looking for experts in all fields (including Health, Food & Beverages, Construction & Transport, Earth & Environment, Security, Biotechnology).

In return as a Jury member you will discover innovative projects, follow the latest trends in your favourite industry, meet other top experts and investors from all over Europe and widen your knowledge of the SME deal flow.

Interested? Apply now!

Three steps:

Good to know:

  • Evaluators will receive a remuneration for their work and compensation for their stay (when applicable).
  • Please check that there is no conflict of interest that could prevent your participation as an evaluator in both steps.
