A public Science|Business Healthy Measures webcast on Strengthening health systems for a post-COVID world

Publication date

Deadline

Short description

On April 28, the Science|Business Healthy Measures initiative was planning to visit Charité – Universitätsmedezin, Berlin’s world-renowed university hospital, to stage another of its expert, invitation-only roundtable debates. The central theme was to be the alignment of outcomes-based innovations in healthcare with mainstream skills, education and training programmes.

Unsurprisingly, the COVID-19 crisis has obliged a new approach. First, our event on April 28 will now be webcast and open to the public, featuring two main dialogue and Q&A sessions of 60 minutes each around a short intermission.

Second, it will place the original theme in a wider context: specifically, what the pandemic is teaching us about the preparedness and resilience of health systems, the gaps and fault lines which must be addressed, and what that in turn will mean for future human capital development, skills, competences and technological know-how in health professions.
