MSCA Awards
To honour the outstanding achievements and excellence of the MSCA fellows, the MSCA 2020.HR AWARDS will be awarded. According to the objectives of the Conference, the competition is divided into three categories primarily dedicated to the impact of MSCA, in which applicants need to demonstrate a creative approach in representing their MSCA projects.
This call is open to all fellows who have benefited from the MSCA during the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, including finished and ongoing projects.
- Category I: Impact of MSCA on fellows’ career development
- Category II: Impact of intersectoral and interdisciplinary mobility and transfer of knowledge
- Category III: Reintegration impact of MSCA researchers on their home countries
Open to European researchers and European scientific diaspora who are returning to Europe after carrying out research abroad, including young postdocs who are returning to their home countries after conducted MSCA doctoral programme. Researchers should show how their projects contributed to the brain circulation and sharing excellence in the whole European Research Area.
Fellows will be selected according to the following selection criteria:
- CV and track record of the MSCA fellow (maximum 5 pages) in line with the chosen category
- The outcome and impact of MSCA fellowship and its relevance to a fellow’s career in line with the chosen category
- The impact of the transfer of knowledge to host institution and its relevance to fellow’s career and boosting international cooperation
- Communication skills of the fellow
- Gender balance and geographical spread
- Creative, innovative and interdisciplinary approach in line with the chosen category and research topic
The selection committee is composed of experts of the European Commission, Croatian Ministry of Science and Education, Agency for Mobility and EU Programmes as well as representatives from the non-academic sector.
Submission process
Researchers are invited to submit a video presenting their project.
The length of the video must not exceed 3 minutes. The video must be in .avi or mp4 format and minimum full HD (1920×1080 pixels). Video can be made by mobile phone using a back or a front-facing camera.
Submission of the video can be made in the following ways:
– Via WeTransfer including the transcript of the video
– Sending a link to a YouTube video (unlisted) including subtitles
Researchers submitting to this call need to be available to participate at the Conference (Zagreb, Croatia, April 27-28 2020), in case the researchers are selected as one of the finalists.
Travel and accommodation arrangements for the three finalists of each category shall be covered by the Conference organisers.
During the first day of the Conference, participants will vote for the winners. The winners will be announced during the second day of the Conference.
