CfA : Master in Global Energy Transition and Governance - CIFE
The Master in Global Energy Transition and Governance aims to give a deep understanding of the complexity of the current energy transformations in Europe and worldwide. The programme offers a unique, multidisciplinary approach which distinguishes it from other master’s courses in the field of energy studies: This one-year Master's programme analyses the links between the different levels of energy governance, from an international to a local level, offering problem-focused learning at the crossroads of theory and practice.
The programme stretches over three terms and takes place in Nice and Berlin. Several field visits are also organised.

- International energy governance
- Economic energy governance
- European energy governance
- Energy and territories
- Methodology modules and simulations
The CIFE (Centre international de Formation Européenne), invites graduates students to apply for its programmes in Advanced European and International Studies at the Institut européen·European Institute (IE·EI), an international teaching and research institute in Nice.
CIFE provides excellent academic teaching at the crossroads of theory and practice. It is one of the six institutions of excellence to receive an operating grant from the EU under the ‘Jean Monnet Activities’ of the Erasmus+ programme.
Entry Requirements
The programme is targeted at students who have already completed a first degree (minimum 3 years of study at university level). An active knowledge of English is required.
The application dossier must include the following documents:
- Letter of Motivation
- Curriculum Vitae
- Copy of your original university degree + certified English translation
- Transript of records + certified copy of English translation
- List and summary of research papers written as part of your studies
- Two letters of recommendation in English
- Passport-size photograph
- Documents certifying adequate knowledge of English
