2017 ERC Consolidator Grant
The European Research Council has published the 2017 Consolidator Grant call. It is expected that this call with a budget of €575 million, worth up to €2 million per grant, will fund approximately 320 researchers. The submission deadline is 9 February 2017.
ERC Consolidator Grants are designed to back up researchers who want to establish their research teams and continue developing a successful career in Europe. The scheme also strengthens independent and excellent new individual research teams that have been recently created.
ERC Consolidator Grants are awarded to outstanding researchers of any nationality and age, with at least seven and up to 12 years of experience after PhD, and a scientific track record showing great promise. Research must be conducted in a public or private research organization located in one of the EU Member States or Associated Countries. The funding is provided for up to five years.
