Open Call for Participants: People-to-People Event: Role of Civil Society in Public Administration Reform – EU Standards and Practice Prishtina, Kosovo
The event “Role of Civil Society in Public Administration Reform- EU Standards and Practice” will set the ground for discussing public administration reform that centers attention on citizens, exploring modalities to advance cross-sector collaboration. This event will have into consideration both “The Principles of Public
Administration” (SIGMA/OECD) as well as EC Guidelines for Support to Civil Society in Enlargement Countries” as recently established frameworks for support to the development of Public Administration and Civil Society in the Western Balkans and Turkey.
The conference will bring together around 70 participants from civil society, European Institutions and national authorities from the six WB countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Serbia) and Turkey to discuss:
Standards and good practices of CSO participation in public administration reform in the EU
Experiences from the region
Results of research on current state of play in region
Proposals for improvement of CSO involvement in PAR
Who can apply?
Civil Society Organizations fitting the following criteria are invited to apply:
• Registered and working in the IPA region from the seven above mentioned countries
• CSO is active in advocacy actions related to the public administration reform and works at least in of the following areas: Transparency and Accountability, Citizen Participation, Effective Service Delivery, and Monitoring of Public Administration Reform
• CSO is active member of the network aiming at enabling civil society to influence policy making
Candidate proposed for participation must have sufficient command of English to participate in the conference. One civil society organization can propose only one candidate/applicant for participation in the conference to be supported by TACSO. Three (3) CSOs in total will be selected per country via this Open call.
Application procedure
Interested applicants are requested to complete the Application Form and send it to stipulated e-mail address or addresses by April 25, 2016 with the subject heading: People to People: Role of Civil Society in Public Administration Reform – EU standards and Practice. The selection process should be completed by
