Research and Technological Development - RTD

RTD refers to research and technological development and demonstration activities. They are aimed at advancing significantely the established state-of-the-art.

Research, with education and innovation, forms the "knowledge triangle", which it is hoped will allow Europe to maintain its economic dynamism and social model.
