Digital Europe Programme - DIGITAL
The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) is an EU funding programme (2021-27) focused on bringing digital technology to businesses, citizens and public administrations. It provides strategic funding to address the digital transition, supporting projects in areas such as
- supercomputing,
- artificial intelligence,
- cybersecurity,
- advanced digital skills,
- and ensuring a wide use of digital technologies across the economy and society, including through Digital Innovation Hubs.
The programme complements the funding available through other EU programmes, such as the Horizon Europe programme for research and innovation and the Connecting Europe Facility for digital infrastructure, the Recovery and Resilience Facility and the Structural funds, etc.
The decision to associate a country (or not) is left to the Commission based on the scope and objectives of the Programme. The association of the WB to the programme is pending, with all economies having expressed interest and currently news about four economies have been shared (last update: June 30, 2023) - please check the most recent information on the programme website.
