Creative Europe -
The Creative Europe programme invests in actions that reinforce cultural diversity and respond to the needs and challenges of the cultural and creative sectors. The main objectives of the programme are to
- safeguard, develop and promote European cultural and linguistic diversity and heritage
- increase the competitiveness and economic potential of the cultural and creative sectors, in particular, the audiovisual sector
The Creative Europe programme is divided in 3 strands:
- CULTURE strand supports initiatives promoting and enhancing artistic and cultural cooperation at European level.
- MEDIA strand supports actions encouraging the competitiveness, innovation and sustainability of the European audiovisual sector.
- CROSS-SECTORAL strand which supports initiatives promoting innovative actions and collaboration across the audiovisual and cultural sectors.
All countries from the Western Balkans are associated to the programme, although please always consult the most updated list: https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/docs/2021-2027/crea/guidance/list-3rd-country-participation_crea_en.pdf as for example Kosovo* participates in the Creative Europe Programme, but only for the “Culture” strand and the “Creative Europe desks” action (part of “Cross-sectoral” strand).
