News archive - Montenegro - Budget for Science and Innovation increased by 120% since 2017
The Proposal for the Budget of Montenegro for 2020 envisages the amount of EUR 6 million for the Ministry of Science. Compared to the budget of the Ministry for 2019, this means an increase of about EUR 920,000 or 17%.
In 2020 additional funding is also planned for the Science Technology Park of Montenegro with a seat in Podgorica, which is an important infrastructural project. The tender for contractors for this project will be announced by the end of 2019.
Since 2017 the budget for Science and Innovation has been increased by 120% is order to strengthen the innovative ecosystem. This is the best confirmation that the Government of Montenegro has recognized the importance of science and innovation.
