20th Call for Technical Assistance Grant Applications Now Open

Publication date
July 20, 2018
Deadline
September 7, 2018
Short description

In accordance with the conclusions of the 18th Meeting of the WBIF Steering Committee, beneficiaries may submit grant applications for technical assistance by 07 September 2018.

Prior to this final deadline, potential applicants should consider the following intermediary closing date:

  • 17 August 2018: National IPA Coordinator transmits the pre-submission notification to the WBIF Secretariat.

Round 20 is open as follows:

  • For all six WBIF eligible sectors provided that the national strategies have been adopted; digital infrastructure is however exempt from this conditionality, i.e. applications may be submitted in the absence of a national strategy.
  • Digital infrastructure, energy, environment, and social projects are not restricted to those already existing in the WBIF pipeline, i.e. applications for new projects may be submitted. However, the applications for energy projects must demonstrate a regional impact, with the exception of smart grids in transmission and distribution lines as well as smart meters.
  • Transport projects must have a clear regional dimension, or unblock an existing project, and must relate to the Core Network (i.e. only Core airports, Core inland waterway ports, and Core maritime ports, as defined under the Indicative Extension of the TEN-T Network to the Western Balkans, are eligible for technical assistance grants).
