The Centre for Social Innovation (German: Zentrum für Soziale Innovation) (ZSI) is a private non-profit institute for applied social sciences and a Centre of Excellece for social innovation based in Vienna (Austria). ZSI implements research and application projects on the social embedding and impact of all types of innovations and contributes to the design and diffusion of socially accepted and sustainable innovations to meet global challenges."

The ZSI coordinates several projects with focus to South Eastern Europe and especially the integration of researchers in the so-called Western Balkan countries into the European Research Area (ERA).
The Information Office of the Steering Platform is one of these projects, another one is the South-East European ERA.NET as well as the newly launched POLICY ANSWERS.
