News archive - [Event Announcement] International Conference on Climate Friendly Transport in Serbia

'Shaping Climate friendly Transport in Europe: Key Finding & Future Directions' is the title of the conference which will be held in Belgrade, Serbia on May 16-17, 2011. It is organised by the REACT project, an EC funded project supporting research on climate-friendly transport, and the University of Belgrade.

A call for abstracts is now open for researchers to contribute to one of these subjects. Abstracts can be submitted until March 15, 2011.

The conference focuses on the following issues:

  • Future research priorities in climate friendly transport
  • Policy interventions in climate friendly transport
  • Evaluating policies and measures in climate friendly transport

The conference is free to attend and, for a selected number of participants, two nights of accommodations will be covered. Priority will be given to those who submit a full paper once the abstract is accepted. The abstracts and papers will be published in the conference proceedings.

An opportunity to increase visibility of your project results free of charge!

Additionally, the REACT project is organizing a competition for ongoing or finalized European research projects on climate friendly transport. Project participants can apply online on the REACT by illustrating the relevant aspects about the project by the 28th February 2011. The competition is being organized within the framework of promoting research results produced by FP6 and FP7 projects, participation is free of charge. The three winning projects will have the opportunity to present their research project at the Belgrade Conference with their accommodation (for two nights) and flights costs for one representative covered by REACT.
