News archive - WBC-INCO.NET Financial Training Workshops

The WBC-INCO.NET project will carry out training workshops in all Western Balkan countries in the months of September and October.

The training will be organised by the colleagues from the Bulgarian Ministry for Education and Science.

The target groups for the training are:

1. Financial managers from the research organizations; universities and private research organization; companies, incl. SME’s; chambers of commerce; innovative structures; municipalities; NGO’s and other relevant structures that have been involved in FP6 and/or FP7 projects as partners and coordinators;
2. NCPs on legal and financial issues
3. Representatives from the Ministries, including financial officers, responsible for research and innovation and involved in coordination of the EU programmes

Content of the training workshops:


Task 4.2. of the WBC-INCO-NET project aims at training of financial managers in the WBC on the respective financial aspects of the FP7. The focus will be on the calculation of costs, accounting principles and cost statement; audits and other relevant issues.

Topics that will be addressed include:

a. Preparing the budget when submitting the project proposal
b. Signing the contract and relevant financial operations including bank transfers and charges
c. Financial management of the contract

  1.   Personal costs and time sheets;
  2.   Financial planning, Bookkeeping, cost recording; accounting records
  3.   Financial reporting
  4.   Financial certificates
  5.   Audit

d. Other issues
