Creative Europe Programme (CREA) opened a call for Creative Innovation Lab aimed to design and test innovative digital solutions.

The call is open to all players from different cultural and creative sectors from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia.

The Innovation Lab (InnovLab) is focused at supporting the development of innovative tools, models and solutions applicable in the audiovisual and other cultural and creative sectors.

It aims to support the competitiveness, greening process, cooperation, circulation, visibility, availability, diversity and/or audiences across sectors.

Who is it for and how to apply?

The call is open to all legal entities (public or private bodies) established in one of the Creative Europe Participating Countries. 

Before submitting the proposal, beneficiaries and affiliated entities must register in the Participant Register. Following registration, all entries must be validated by the Central Validation Service.

The validation requires the applicants to upload documents showing legal status and origin. Note that paper submissions are NOT possible.

Creative Innovation Lab Themes 2022

The Creative Innovation Lab has two general objectives:

  • Safeguarding, developing and promoting European cultural and linguistic diversity and heritage
  • Increasing the competitiveness and the economic potential of the cultural and creative sectors, in particular the audiovisual sector.

This year’s call is focused on two themes:

  • Greening,
  • Innovative education tools to tackle relevant societal topics.

Activities should support the competitiveness, greening process, cooperation, circulation, visibility, availability, diversity and/or audience across sectors.

Such activities shall contain a high potential of replicability in audiovisual and other cultural and creative sectors.

Important dates

Deadline for submitting applications: September 7, 2022 17:00 (Brussels Time).

Evaluation period: September – December 2022.

Information to applicants: January 2023.

Signature of grant agreement: March 2023.
