News archive - [Event Announcement & Call for Applications] International Youth Conference "European Values for the Future of SEE countries" | 15-19 September 2017, Krusevo, FYR of Macedonia

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 15th edition of the International Youth Conference "European Values for the Future of SEE countries". The conference will take place from the 15th to 19th of September, 2017 traditionally in Krusevo, FYR of Macedonia.

The event is organized by Youth Alliance-Krusevo supported by Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, sponsored by Germany and CIVICA Mobilitas program, in partnership with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. 

The focus of this year's conference is “Future of Europe in Focus” where we will be focused not on youth as the future of Europe, but on building our youth for the future of Europe. Moreover, by the comprehensive process of the conference we will boost and ensure regional perspective of the answers to the youth issues in SEE as innovations in education, youth inclusion in politics, mobility and the labor market by ensuring us that all of these will help to retain and inspire young people to be a force for democratic change in SEE region.

The main aim of the project is to bring together for 4 working days young leaders of Southeastern Europe in age of 18 to 32 with the main goal being to debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for the pressing issues the region faces. 

Application Form

The application deadline is 15th of August, 2017. Regarding the selection criteria, the applicant’s background and her/his interest for participation in the conference will be of great importance. One of the most relevant selection principle will be their opinions reflected in the essay.

The Conference will bring together up to 58 participants from the countries from the SEE region (Macedonia (host country), Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Montenegro, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia) and Turkey and guests from youth organizations partners from Germany, France and Poland in the role of mentors. 
In order to attend the conference with a full bursary, send your application as soon as possible as “Early birds” will have much more opportunity to take it. The scholarship fully covers accommodation fees, food and 80% from the travel expenses.

On the other hand, there will be a chance for participation on the conference with participation fee for all suitable candidates with a range of backgrounds, skillsets and nationalities.
