News archive - [Call for Applications] Executive Masters in Management of Research Infrastructure

The Research Infrastructure grant RItrain, funded under Horizon 2020, together with the University of Milano-Bicocca launched a unique international management development programme. This management development programme is primarily aimed at current Research Infrastructures managers and leaders who wish to extend their competencies by engaging with peers from other countries. The programme covers competencies required to meet the needs of Research Infrastructures in the planning, construction and operation phases. RItrain will support the registration fees for the applicants to the first iteration of this Master course.

RItrain is coordinated by a consortium comprising RIs and Universities:  BBMRI-ERIC, EMBL-EBI(representing ELIXIR), ECRIN, EATRIS, Infrafrontier, Euro-Bioimaging (IMG), CNRS (representing DARIAH), SHARE-ERIC, Medical University of Wien, Imperial College London, University of Minho, and the University of Milano-Bicocca. The Consortium represents in particular the biomedical domain, furthermore the human and social sciences. It is also very well connected with research infrastructures in the physical and environmental sciences. The consortium members also include organisations spanning all phases of the life-cycle of a research infrastructure, from initial planning, through construction to operational maturity.

The Masters programme has a requirement of 60 ECTS and is organised into 3-day modules for a total of 12 modules (40 ECTS), among which 7 on-campus and 5 full online.

The modules combine lectures, talks by experts from Research Infrastructures and guest speakers, webinars and case study analysis.

The total duration of the Masters is 18 months. The first iteration will run from 20th September 2017 to 15th  March 2019 and is structured in three terms:
