News archive - Policy Dialogue in Kosovo*: Policy brief on the Social Science Research in Kosovo*
This policy brief contains specific recommendations for the improvement of social sciences research in Kosovo*. The policy brief is the outcome of the conference on “The role of social sciences in societies in transition, with special emphasis on Kosovo*” that aimed to both identify the best practices for strengthening research capacities and to increase cooperation between public and private higher education providers and think-tanks in Kosovo*.
Policy dialogue for the improvement of social sciences in Kosovo* includes the following:
1. Organization of a conference on the Role of Social Sciences in Transitional Societies with particular focus on Kosovo* which will be composed of panels with national and international experts on social sciences and humanities.
This conference has a threefold objective:
- to identify the best methods on how to strengthen the research capacities in Kosovo*;
- to achieve further engagement of public and private stakeholders in strengthening research capacities through advocacy and policy recommendations;
- to promote academic research in social sciences and humanities in Kosovo*.
2. Publication of a policy brief from the conference which will be distributed to all relevant stakeholders that can contribute to further improvement of the social science research in Kosovo*.
3. Publication and distribution of policy recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
