Short description

The Steering Platform on Research for the Western Balkan Countries met in Sarajevo on 1 December 2011. The meeting was co-chaired by the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Bosnia and Herzegovina on behalf of the Western Balkan Countries – who hosted the event – and the European Commission.

The event is open only upon invitation. The invitation to the meeting as well as the draft agenda are attached.

Description

Every 6 months, high level political dialogue meetings are organised linking the EU Member States, Associated Countries and the Western Balkan countries. The meetings are co-chaired by the European Commission, the EU Council presidency country (currently Poland) and a country from the region (for the upcoming meeting: Bosnia and Herzegovina). The meeting tookplace on December 1, 2011 in Sarajevo and brought together RTDI stakeholders from all over Europe (http://www.wbc-inco.net/object/calendar/122164.html).
