Short description

Establishing a sustainable society is among the most demanding tasks ahead of us. For a successful clean energy transition, it will be mandatory to have affordable and sustainable seasonal energy storage systems. Avoiding the use of critical raw materials and reducing costs as quickly as possible would allow a huge step forward for the energy transition. Innovative materials play a key role in this regard.

Description

Helmholtz addresses key energy research challenges, especially in materials research. Together with our experts from research, industry and politics, we want to discuss key issues: How can we develop high-performance materials for future storage systems?
What is the role of new IT-related tools to speed up innovation? Can hydrogen technologies become sustainable and more affordable? What alternative long-term storage technologies should be investigated?

We cordially invite you to participate in the Helmholtz event:
