The team of the WBC-RRI.NET project is organising the first hybrid project event (in Novi Sad and on zoom). The agenda tackles different RRI concepts and the situation in the Western Balkans and then focuses on ethics issues in research and innovation, discussing ethics governance system for RRI in Higher Education and Research Performing Organisations.

The keynote

After Part 1, the public event, meetings of working groups are scheduled. These are more informal, not recorded. Interested parties are invited to become a member of one of three working groups (WG1: Gender and Ethics, WG2: Science Education and Public Engagement, WG3: Open Science and Open Access) and attend if interested.

After the opening by the WBC-RRI.NET coordinator and interventions in relation to the RRI concept and the territorial view, the particular approach of WBC-RRI.NET and the perspective from the Western Balkans, an invited keynote is provided by the Head of the Research Ethics and Integrity Sector of the European Commission, DG Research and Innovation, Isidoros Karatzas. He will speak about "Understanding of ethics issues in research: differences in perspectives" at 11.00 CET. After a short break there is a moderated round table discussion planned:
