Short description

The EuroHPC Summit Week (EHPCSW) 2020 will gather the main European stakeholders from the High Performance Computing (HPC) community: from technology suppliers, infrastructures to scientific and industrial users.

Description

The EHPCSW will offer a wide variety of workshops covering a number of application areas where HPC technologies and infrastructures are key. A specific attention will be given to the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU), which will organise a number of open sessions, providing the audience with information about the JUs activities. The conference  will also provide a great opportunity to network with all relevant European HPC stakeholders.

The event is organised by the European Extreme Data & Computing Initiative (EXDCI-2), the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE), and the European Technology Platform for High-Performance Computing (ETP4HPC) with the support of EuroHPC JU.

As in previous years, PRACE organises its Scientific and Industrial Conference (PRACEdays20) within the EHPCSW. PRACEdays20 will bring together experts from academia and industry who will present their advancements in HPC-supported science and engineering.

Practical information

The 2020 edition of the EHPCSW will take place at the Porto Palácio Hotel in Porto, Portugal from 23 to 27 March 2020.

The event is subject to registration. Attendance to the EHPCW including PRACEdays20 is free of charge and includes admission to all sessions, workshops and tracks, as well as the full social programme.

More practical details and information can be found on the PRACE dedicated webpage

Calls for contributions and posters

PRACE invites contributions for presentations of excellent scientific merit from scientists and researchers from academia and industry. The conference programme will provide space for presentations in a limited number of parallel sessions. The maximum length of each presentation is 15 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions from the audience.

PRACE also invites any project to present the results of its research or innovation in a poster. Submissions should take the form of an extended abstract, detailing the novelty or originality of the science or research project and the need for HPC to accomplish the results. The forward-looking achievements should demonstrate scientific discoveries, innovation in industry or address society’s grand challenges.

PRACE supports diversity and inclusivity in HPC, and encourages applicants of all backgrounds to submit their application to the calls. The deadline for submission of contributions is 11 December 2019, 18:00 CET.  Additional specific details on the call for contributions and call for posters are available on the PRACE website.
