The meeting in Trieste will bring together representatives of over fifty civil society organizations, think tanks, policy institutes and other organisations from the countries of the Western Balkans and the European Union, and provide a platform for their impact on the so-called Berlin Process.

The Forum will be organised as part of the 4th intergovernmental Summit of Western Balkans and EU countries, and will consider the topics of the Summit: youth cooperation, rule of law and anti-corruption, enterprise development and innovation potentials, to also include reflections about the future of the “Berlin Process”.

Furthermore, new topics will be introduced, in the format of parallel workshops, to start the debate on questions of regional relevance – environment, energy and climate change, migrations, media freedoms, the issue of Brexit in relevance to the Western Balkans and the possible role of civil society in increasing the efficiency of the Berlin Process through communications.

We are inviting all interested applicants to apply here by June 5. All applicants will be informed about the final selection by June15.

Please note that the organisers will be able to cover the expenses of accommodation and only limited travel expenses (in most cases group bus transfers will be organised).
