The event will be held on October 5th 2016 in Vienna and will be hosted by the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Consumer Protection. The conference is organised with technical assistance funding received from the European Union.

Description

The 4th Stakeholder Conference "Investing in People and Skills in the Danube Region: Towards a New Dynamic for Socio-Economic Development” aims at discussing current European growth and development policies, how effective approaches to skills and competences impact their success and what challenges they face with regard to education and training, labour market and civil society participation. Workshops on relevant topics such as quality and efficiency of education and training, educational outcomes, labour market policies and social inclusion will be held to exchange current policies and identify requirements and needs to face future challenges and developments. In this context participants are also invited to find new opportunities for wider cooperation and closer collaboration. Furthermore, information on funding opportunities will be provided by experts and lead partners throughout the conference.   

Format: Moderated plenary and break-out sessions will be used to ensure participants can have substantive discussions about challenges and successes with respect to developing effective approaches to skills policies and related projects.

The deadline for registration is 18th September 2016.

Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. For a selected number of participants from non-EU Member States PA9 has a technical assistance support to finance travel and accommodation costs according to specific requirements and upon request.

Please note that the event has a limited capacity, and to guarantee a certain balance between country and institution representations, we may have to restrict attendance. As a result, organisers reserve the right to refuse registrations if there are too many participants from one country or institution.
