Innovation Union Competitiveness Report 2011

On 9 June, the European Commission released its Innovation Union Competitiveness Report 2011. The Report builds on the Innovation Union Scoreboard and includes a factsheet detailing each country's research and innovation performance. It is the first report providing a comprehensive analysis of recent trends and long-term evolution in research and innovation performance in all 27 EU Member States and six Associated Countries.
The IUC Report holds an optimistic view about Austria’s performance, claiming the country’s potential to approach an R&D intensity of 4% by 2020, thus positioning the Austria at the world forefront.
