Drivers of International collaboration in research

The report reviews the various drivers behind international STI co-operation and explores the interactions between these drivers. Evidently, the science and technology community has a strong influence on the direction and contents of cross-border STI partnerships. However, a wider set of policy objectives influence today’s patterns of STI-collaborations between EU Member States and between the EU Member States and non-EU countries or ‘Third Countries’.

The report contains information on the background on STI collaboration, a mapping the drivers for International Research Collaboration Policies, a chapter on "Strategic Intelligence to support evidence based policymaking" as well as comprehensive methodological information.
