Harnessing the potential: Research Capacity in the Western Balkans
The present study has been conducted under the European Commission’s initiative «Support to the Higher Education Reform Experts» (SPHERE) by a small team of experts. It discusses the research capacity of higher education institutions in the Western Balkans (WB). Provisional results of the study were presented at the 6th Ministerial Meeting of the “Western Balkans Steering Platforms on Education & Training & Research and Innovation”, 28-29 September 2017 in Belgrade.
The study provides recommendations (including performance indicators) to national governments and higher education institutions in the Western Balkans, as well as to the European Union (EU).
