The education group, which consists of the Nordeus Foundation, the Center for the Promotion of Science, Youth Achievements in Serbia and the "Digital Serbia" Initiative, has opened four Makers Labs so far, and six more are planned for the next six months.

All interested high schools in Serbia can apply and become one of the six schools that will receive a Makers Lab in the near future.

WHAT ARE MAKERS LABS?

Makers Lab is a multidisciplinary, innovative space where students and their interests are encouraged and skills are developed in the direction of experimentation, community building, and dialogue with other initiatives and programs. In this way, connection and cooperation in the community with all factors that can gather around the topic of education is encouraged.

The work of Makers Lab is based on connecting the STEAME area (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Entrepreneurship / science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics, entrepreneurship). Through work in the Makers Lab, students and teachers are expected to approach education and problem solving in an innovative way. The idea is to encourage students interested in STEAME fields to further develop interests in that direction and to encourage experimentation and multidisciplinarity in teaching through formal and informal learning and various STEAME programs, lectures and initiatives.
