Partnerships: Innovative Health Initiative Open Calls

Short description

The Innovative Health Initiative (IHI) is a public-private partnership (PPP) between the European Union and the European life science industries. Our core goals are to translate health research and innovation into tangible benefits for patients and society, and ensure that Europe remains at the cutting edge of interdisciplinary, sustainable, patient-centric health research. The Innovative Health Initiative opened two calls with Deadlines on 20 September 2022:

IHI call 1 with topics on cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and health data (Deadline for full proposals).

IHI call 2 with topics on cardiovascular disease and early feasibility studies (Deadline for short proposals).

Any legal entity from EU Members States, associated countries, and third countries can participate.

  • The maximum financial contribution from IHI JU for these topics is: EUR 135 million
  • Industry / contributing partner contributions: Applicant consortia should ensure that out of the total project budget, at least 45 % needs to be covered by contributions provided by project participants
