Short description

The European Integration and Global Studies programme (English) of the Master in Advanced European and International Studies (MAEIS) allows students from all over the world to gain a deep understanding of the role of the European Union in an ever more complex world.  This one-year Master’s programme follows an original approach which distinguishes it from other Master’s courses in European Studies and International Relations: The MAEIS is an international, interdisciplinary and itinerant programme. Following the slogan “Learning and living Europe”, the participants rotate each trimester, moving their place of studies from Berlin to Nice and then to Rome or Istanbul.

The teaching modules include: 

  • Conflict and cooperation in the international system 
  • European Integration and external action 
  • Federalism and multi-level governance 
  • Economy, globalisation and sustainable development
  • Professional skills workshops

 

The CIFE (Centre international de Formation Européenne), invites graduates students to apply for its programmes in Advanced European and International Studies at the Institut européen·European Institute (IE·EI), an international teaching and research institute in Nice.

CIFE provides excellent academic teaching at the crossroads of theory and practice. It is one of the six institutions of excellence to receive an operating grant from the EU under the ‘Jean Monnet Activities’ of the Erasmus+ programme.

Entry Requirements

This interdisciplinary graduate programme is aimed at students who have already completed a first degree (minimum three years of study at university level). Furthermore, students must have a good knowledge of English. 

The application dossier must be accompanied by the following documents in English: 

  • Letter of Motivation 
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Copy of your original University degree + certified copy of the English translation 
  • Transcript of records + certified copy of the English translation 
  • List and summary of research papers written ad part of your studies
  • Two recent recommendation letters written in English 
  • Passport - size photograph 
  • Copy of a valid English language test (TOEFL - CBT = 213 or IBT = 82) or (IELTS = 6,5)

Fees and Founding  : A limited number of scholarships can be awarded to particularly qualified candidates who are not able to cover the cost of their studies and stay. The application is open to candidates of all nationalities.
