EVAL-INNO focuses on capacity building and institutional support. Main target groups are policy-makers and policy-delivery systems, innovation infrastructures and (potential) RTDI evaluators. An easily accessible and systematically structured Regional RTDI Evaluation Platform is programmed, subdivided in four distinct databases which will be continuously updated. The Platform serves the information needs of both evaluators and awarding authorities (agencies, ministries). For them distinct training modules are prepared and implemented with an emphasis on methodological and procedural issues. Special training and knowledge for an optimum use of public procurement for RTDI evaluations and promotion of innovation is provided too. In addition, 3 RTDI programme evaluations and a comparative benchmarking of intermediary innovation organisations will be carried out based on sound methodological designs. Outputs and results of EVAL-INNO will be promoted through a large international conference. A business plan for sustaining the Regional RTDI Evaluation Platform based on a fee-based membership system will be developed.

EVAL-INNO Final Conference on March 25/26, 2014 in Vienna

The EVAL-INNO partnership organise the project´s Final Conference in Vienna.

Venue: Vienna, Palais Ferstel, Freyung 3 (2^nd floor), A-1010 Vienna

After more than 2 and a half years, the EVAL-INNO is entering its final stage. The Final conference will present the main results and efforts achieved by the project. The conference will display the most crucial findings in the following fields covered by the project:

• the mapping of the regional RTDI evaluation culture,
• the preparation of evaluation standards and trainings,
• the public procurement in innovation evaluations,
• the setting up of the virtual regional RTDI Evaluation platform,
• the programme evaluation and benchmarking exercise,
• the promotion of international exchange and sustainability.

The project is expecting a vast participation to the conference by its partners, evaluators, programme owners, national and international stakeholders, policy makers and public authorities.

The event will further promote the extension of the project´s goals beyond its conlusion and the possibility of cross-fertilization with similar initiatives.
