News archive - NATO Science for Peace: Upcoming Deadlines

November 1 and June 1 are the deadlines for grant applications made by individual scientists to the NATO "Science for Peace" Programme.

The Science for Peace and Security Programme offers grants to scientists in NATO, Partner countries (all Western Balkan countries fall in this category) and Mediterranean Dialogue countries to collaborate on priority research topics, which include NATO priorities and additional Partner country priorities. Grants are also offered to assist the academic community in Partner countries to set up computer networking infrastructure and to optimize their use of electronic communication.

Topics of interest for NATO grants are e.g.

NATO informs applicants about the decision on applications about 6 months after the deadline. For Science for Peace projects, the final decision will be made following a two-step evaluation procedure that normally takes one year from the deadline.
