News archive - 70 new COST Actions open for participants

On May 30, COST Association published the list of 70 new COST Actions which are selected for funding in the next period. National processes are now active identifying the suitable participants in the action, which may be from academia but also from industry/SMEs or the government and civil society sector - as long as they are directly related to the objectives of the Action. The Actions are usually highly multidisciplinarity (of the 70 new COST Actions, 47% of all new Actions cover at least two fields of science and technology according to the OECD classification and 11% cover at least three fields).

  • Natural sciences are represented in 50% of the newly approved Actions
  • Medical and Health Sciences in 34%,
  • Social Sciences in 27%
  • Engineering and Technology in 24%
  • Agricultural Science in 13%
  • and Humanities in 11%.

The Actions are available on the COST website and the first Management Committee meetings will start between September and October 2022.
